the day after

GEARS of WAR & REZHD

I turned on my XBOX for the first time in

quite some time. It's been so busy that I haven't

had time, but last night I found myself in front

of the plasma and there was only So much Super

Tuesday news before headaches started to kick

in, so I loaded up GoW, removing Call of Duty 4:

Modern Warfare from the drive. Before playing,

however, I switched MS Live accounts to link

Rainfault with my @live.com email address. Now

my old ink space clearly shows my gamertag and

game information.

I wonder if Vista will be an improvement to my

tablet. I have the install disk within reach, but with

the new apps that I just downloaded (and haven't

yet used) I don't want to make changes. Of course

I'd also have to organize and back-up everything as

well, Vista needs a clean install.

In other news, Apple has released the 16gb

iPhone, 32gb iPod Touch and the MacBook Air is

likely shipping out and in-stories now for all to see.

There are many smallish issues with that UMPC

that would need to be addressed, and some design

issues make it a "no go" for many road warriors,

business travelers and other mobile professionals.

If you're looking to get one, save up for and spend

on the solid state HDD option. The Air uses small

HDD's, the kind that ipods have--not the quickest

to boot-up.

Lastly--I've given some thought to making an

ink-based Tumblelog; everything from personal

notes to software updates, new products and

tablet announcements.

I may even attempt to write/design my

own software and layout for the project...

if only I could get a hold of Bergy!

Until next time...

3 Must Use Web Services! NIP

NIP | THIS ISN'T INK. OH NO! Oh well. I still haven't figured out how to use Build 52 (what I think is a link-enabler for ink bloggers used by Sumocat and others), and I thought I should share two things that I've become really fond of, in full-glory, clickable link form. (All links set to open in new windows by default.)

Twitter. I've been using it for some-time now, and I must say, it really helps me to keep track of my life, moment by moment. Most of the time I'm in pain, so much of the time I tend to forget my "good days." Twitter helps me to remember. Here's a link to my Twitter: Bradtastic.

Tumblr. I'm a brand-spankin'new tumblr, and it's awesome. It's fun, it's helpful, practical and great for those Twitter-ish posts just too-long to fit inside the 140-character limit. It's well-organized and easy, setup takes literally under one-minute, no prior blogging or coding knowledge required. It's lush, eye-candy filled, easy icon-based, and has the simplest GUI's I've used yet (for the amount of features it has, of course). Great service for everyone! Click here to see my tumblr. and a list of really awesome stuff!

Jott. Last but not least, Jott. It's actually one of those services that's so good I thought about NOT sharing it. Yes... it's practically too good! After signing up, users call an 800 number (866) and can leave recordings (up to 30 seconds in length, each) that are soon transcribed to text and can be sent back to the phone via SMS. If you have more questions about it, click here to check the FAQ. I don't have a personal-page here, but users can set up Jott contacts to send messages to one-another. Despite the semi-obvious comparisons to standard voicemail/voice messages, there are advantages and differences.

Feel free to leave questions or comments, and please LMK if you sign-up for these services or already have 'em! The next post here will be inked, promise!

Super Bowl Sunday Blue

What I've Found

Jay Mohr wrote a pretty funny article on

MSN detailing why the Super Bowl stinks. It's

worth a read, but let's face it. Even though the

entire West Coast is excluded, our TVs are still

going to end up tuned to it. What bar run by at

least semi-intelligent people won't have FOX

on most of this evening?

I think that I'll play Madden instead, and

see if I can set my XBOX Live account to point

to my "real" Live account--with Spaces and all.

At once time I had an inkblog there... I guess that it

is still there, but I don't post there any longer.

I'm feeling sort-of sick again today and I had a

series of strange dreams including one with MTG

and another with street racing, giant monsters, a

casino and video arcade and some Asian city.

I left a notebook in my car and this light hurts

my head quite a bit. I'm trying out some new ink

software and perhaps I'll review it.

Lastly. Has anyone used ArtRage2? I've used

Alias (now Autodesk) SketchBook Pro 2, and I've

tossed around the idea of expanding my use of

tablet software. Please LMK. I already know that

Sumocat loves TEO... Next week I'll try Build 52.

Some Things

Just Some Things

Vista is running just fine. Aero is really pretty.

I'm considering an upgrade to Vista for my tablet,

is anyone has some suggestions, please PLEASE

LMK ASAP. If your suggestion is "don't install it,"

please also let me know why you feel that way.

My BlackBerry Curve has had some issues, and

I think that they're related to lack of space

available, but I'll blame this Mercury in retro-

grade-thing. It's very inconvenient.

The Mac Book Pro I had fixed is also having

some problems. Gilmore Girls runs just fine,

however, the application "Mail" keeps crashing on

startup and I don't know why. Perhaps I need

to reformat. Again!

Blog-consolidation is on-hold as I first consolidate

my Moleskine notebooks. It all takes time, what

better time than bad-weather afternoons?

Cross tablet pens are hard to find--I have one

of each, capless and capped, but I cannot find the

capless one and they're no longer in stock. If

you stumble across one, please let me know.

Time for a bad-weather smoke break...

until next post, perhaps from Vista

Bradtastic.

Pre-poster. Brad inkpost again. vSide!

Responsibility, Misconceptions, marketing & Game

Updraft should have posted days ago-my

install of Live Writer had some kind of an issue and

thus it remained a mere product of my tablet,

on my tablet.

Some of you may have received invites to a

game called vSide, though you might've thought it

to be spam. It's not. vSide is great fun, and it's

kind of a neat way to hear music, though it's been

repetitious. Come and join us in this free game.

No, I don't know why my last post appears

so small, and I don't know if that's a global.

It might joist be a Mac or "me thing..." my Macs

haven't been very stable as of late, and thus

some of my time has been spent trying to fix

machines that Apple ads claim are crash-free.

XP shouldn't be more stable than Mac OS.

Even my now iMac 24" has been freezing and

locking -up, apps are going unresponsive; this

recent string of hardware problems has become

such a hassle, time-consuming to the point that

my daily record-keeping is nothing more than

a list of troubleshooting steps!

On the count of three, "I want my life back,

there's no place like home..." I tried to carry

way too-much from my car and spilled some Coke

on my keyboard-if it was the Heath Ledger

kind I could just roll-up a $20, problem Solved!

Now my keys are sticky.

Sorry, bad joke. I have sticky keys and broken

notebooks, so I'm a little upset. I'm sitting in vSide

chillin', chatting with old friends using built-in AIM.

I'm rewriting my bio, new bradtastic entries.

Until next time,

Brad the vampire
